Updated: April 16, 2015

We closed our retail store at 196 Brock Street at the end of 2014. We are currently exploring the co-op's next steps in the short-term and long-term and how we may grow to better serve the needs of our community and the local food system. The produce basket program will continue to be integral to this process. Our 2015 produce basket will be run from a temporary location in East City in the Rogers Street area. More specific details on about the location and timing of our produce basket pick up will be sent through our newsletter

Other news and developments will also be circulated via our newsletter, website, and social media. Stay tuned for that information. Feel free to contact us using the information provided below.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our co-op is primarily volunteer run organization. We rely on the support of our dedicated volunteers to make everything run smoothly: from events to basket pick up days and Board/committee work, volunteers play an essential role in our work.

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with our produce basket program on a regular basis as well as co-op and community events on a per event basis. Additional information is available here. Other opportunities will become available in the future. Anyone who might be interested the current or future volunteer opportunities, please email coop@bythebushel.ca.

A Range
of Local Products

The Co-op aims to provide a generous selection of high-quality, nutritious, locally and ecologically grown vegetables and fruit through our produce basket program. Additionally, we also offer local honey, maple syrup, frozen meats, and other value-added products. These items may be purchased in addition to or independently of the basket program.
